a little.’ 9 Then said Andrew: ‘There is here a child which hath five loaves and two fishes, but what will it be among so many?’
10 Jesus answered: ‘Make the multitude sit down.’ 11 And they sat down upon the grass by fifties and by forties. Thereupon said Jesus: ‘In the name of God (a)! 13 And he took the bread, and prayed to God ( [1] )and then brake the bread, which he gave to the disciples, and the disciples gave it to the multitude; 14 and so did they with the fishes. 15 Every one ate and every one was satisfied.
16 Then said Jesus: ‘Gather up that which is over.’ 17 So the disciples gathered those fragments, and filled twelve baskets. 18 Thereupon every one put his hand to his eyes, saying:’ Am I awake, or do I dream?’ 19 And they remained, every one, for the space of an hour, as it were beside themselves by reason of the great miracle.
20 Afterwards Jesus, when he had given thanks to God, dismissed them, 21 but there were seventy-two men ( [2] ) that willed not to leave him; 22 wherefore Jesus, perceiving their faith, chose them for disciples.

من الخبز 9 حينئذ قال أندراوس : هنا غلام معه خمسة أرغفة وسمكتان ولكن ما عسى أن تكون بين هذا العدد الجم ؟ 10 أجاب يسوع : اجلس الجميع 11 فجلسوا على الخبز خمسين خمسين وأربعين أربعين 12 حينئذ قال يسوع باسم الله (ا) 13 وأخذ الخبز ( [3] )وصلى لله ثم كسر الخبز وأعطاه للتلاميذ والتلاميذ أعطوه للجميع 14 وفعلوا كذلك بالسمكتين 15 فأكلوا كلهم وشبعوا 16 حينئذ قال يسوع : اجمعوا الباقي 17 فجمع التلاميذ تلك الكسر فملأت اثنتي عشر قفة 18 حينئذ وضع كل أحد يده على عينيه قائلا : أ مستيقظ أنا أم حالم ؟ 19 ولبثوا جميعهم مدة ساعة كأنهم مجانين بسبب الآية العظمى 20 ثم بعد أن شكر يسوع لله صرفهم 21 إلا اثنين وسبعين ( [4] ) رجلا لم يشاءوا أن يتركوه 22 فلما رأى يسوع إيمانهم اختارهم تلاميذ
