sons wherefore God caused him to be sold (a)( [1] ), and caused Jacob to be deceived by these same sons, insomuch that he believed that the beasts had devoured his son, and so abode ten years mourning.

1 As God liveth, brethren, I fear lest God be angered against me (c). 2 Therefore ye needs must go through Judaea and Israel, preaching to the twelve tribes of Israel ( [2] ) the truth, that they may be undeceived.’
3 The disciples answered with fear, weeping: ‘We will do whatsoever thou shalt bid us.’
4 Then said Jesus: ‘Let us for three days make prayer and fast, and from henceforth every evening when the first star shall appear, when prayer is made to God, let us make prayer three times asking Him three times for mercy: because the sin of Israel is three times more grievous than other sins.’
5 ‘So be it’, answered the disciples.
6 When the third day was ended, on the morning of the fourth day, Jesus called together

من أبنائه الآخرين لذلك قضى الله ببيعه وجعل يعقوب يخدع من هؤلاء الأبناء أنفسهم حتى إنه صدق أن الوحش (ا)( [3] )افترس ابنه فلبث عشر سنوات نائحا.
1 لعمر الله أيها الإخوان إني أخشى أن يغضب الله (ج) عليّ لذلك وجب عليكم أن تسيروا في اليهودية وإسرائيل مبشرين بالحق أسباط إسرائيل ( [4] ) الاثنى عشر حتى ينكشف الخداع عنهم 3 فأجاب التلاميذ خائفين باكين : إننا لفاعلون كل ما تأمرنا به 4 فقال حينئذ يسوع : لنصل ولنصم ثلاثة أيام ومن الآن فصاعدا لنصل لله ثلاث مرات متى لاح النجم الأول كل ليلة إذ نؤدي الصلاة لله طالبين منه الرحمة ثلاث مرات لأن خطيئة إسرائيل تزيد على الخطايا الأخرى ثلاثة أضعاف 5 أجاب التلاميذ : ليكن كذلك 6 فلما انتهى اليوم الثالث دعا يسوع في صباح اليوم الرابع
