more than anything must be done for pure love of God ( [1] ); otherwise it will be vain to repent. 12 For I will speak unto you by a similitude.

13 ‘Every building if its foundation be removed, falleth into ruin: is this true?’

15 Then said Jesus: ‘The foundation of our salvation is God (a), without whom salvation is not. 16 When man hath sinned, he hath lost the foundation of his salvation; 17 so it is necessary to begin from the foundation.’

18 ‘Tell me, if your slaves had offended you, and ye knew that they did not grieve at having offended you, but grieved at having lost their reward, would ye forgive them? 19 Certainly not. 20 Even so I tell you that God will do to those who repent for having lost paradise. 21 Satan, the enemy of all good, hath great remorse for having lost paradise and gained hell. 22 But yet will he never find mercy, 23 and known ye why? 24 Because he hath no

يجب أن تفعل أكثر من كل شئ لمجرد محبة الله ( [2] ) وإلا كانت عبثا 12 وإني أكلمكم بالتمثيل 13 كل بناء إذا أزيل أثاثه تساقط خرابا أ صحيح هذا ؟ فأجاب التلاميذ إنه لصحيح 15 فقال حينئذ يسوع : إن أساس خلاصنا هو الله (ا) الذي لا خلاص بدونه 16 فلما أخطأ الإنسان خسر أساس خلاصه 17 لذلك وجب الابتداء بالأساس18 قولوا لي إذا استأتم من عبيدكم وعلمتم أنهم لم يحزنوا لأنهم أغاظوكم بل حزنوا لأنهم خسروا جزاءهم أتغفرون لهم ؟ 19لا البتة 20 إني أقول لكم أن الله هكذا يفعل بالذين يتوبون لأنهم خسروا الجنة 21 إن الشيطان عدو كل صلاح لنادم شديد الندم لأنه خسر الجنة وربح الجحيم 22 ومع ذلك لن يجد رحمة 23 فهل تعلمون لماذا ؟ لأنه ليس عنده
