the prophet whom God sendeth unto thee.’ (a)11 Jesus prayed him, saying: ‘Brother, hold thy peace and say nothing,’12 but the more he prayed him the more he cried out, saying: ‘Behold the prophet! Behold the holy one of God !’ 13 At which words many that were going out of Jerusalem ran back, 14 and entered with Jesus into Jerusalem, recounting which God through Jesus had done unto the leper.
[12] (b) First sermon of Jesus delivered to the people: wonderful in doctrine concerning the name of God.
1 The whole city of Jerusalem was moved by these words, 2 where -fore they all ran together to the temple to see Jesus, who had entered therein to pray, so that they could scarce be contained there.( [1] ) 3 Therefore the priests besought Jesus, saying:’ This people desireth to see thee and hear thee; therefore ascend to the pinnacle, and if God give thee a word speak it in the name of the Lord.
4 Then ascended Jesus to the place whence the scribes were wont to speak. 5 And having beckoned with the hand for silence, he opened his mouth, saying : 6 ’Blessed be the holy name of God, who of his goodness and mercy willed to create his creatures (c) that they might glorify him.( [2] ) 7 Blessed be the holy name of God, who created the splendour

النبي الذي بعثه الله إليك (ا) 11 فرجاه يسوع قائلا أيها الأخ اصمت ولا تقل شيئا 12 فلم يزده الرجاء إلا صراخا قائلا : ها هو ذا النبي ها هو قدوس الله 13 فلما سمع هذه الكلمات كثيرون من الذين كانوا ذاهبين إلى أورشليم رجعوا مسرعين 14 ودخلوا أورشليم مع يسوع وقصوا ما صنع الله للأبرص بواسطة يسوع.
الفصل الثاني عشر
الموعظة الأولى التي ألقاها يسوع على الشعب وغرائبها
من حيث ما يتعلق باسم الله (ب)
1 فاضطربت المدينة كلها لهذه الكلمات 2 وأسرع الجميع إلى الهيكل ليروا يسوع الذي دخل إليه ليصلي حتى ضاق بهم المكان ( [3] ) 3 فتقدم الكهنة إلىيسوع قائلين : إن هذا الشعب يحب أن يراك ويسمعك فارتقي إذا الدكة وإذا أعطاك الله كلمة فتكلم بها باسم الرب 4 فارتقى يسوع الموضع الذي اعتاد الكتبة ال
تكلم فيه 5 وإذ أشار بيده إيماء للصمت فتح فاه قائلا : 6 تبارك اسم الله القدوس الذي ببـرّه ورحمته أراد فخلق خلائقه (ج) ليمجدوه ( [4] ) 7 تبارك اسم الله (د) القدوس الذي خلق (هـ) نور (و )
