into weeping, feasts into fasting, and sleep into watching, I compassed in three words all that ye have heard 12 - that here on earth one ought always to weep, and that weeping should be from the heart, because God our creator (a) is offended; 13 that ye ought to fast in order to have lordship over the sense, 14 and to watch in order not to sin; 15 and that bodily weeping and bodily fasting and watching should be taken according to the constitution of each one.’
1 Having said this, Jesus said: ‘Ye needs must seek of the fruits of the field the wherewithal to sustain our life, for it is now eight days that we have eaten no bread ( [1] ). 2 Wherefore I will pray to our God, and will await you with Barnabas.
3 So all the disciples and apostles departed by fours and by sixes and went their way according to the word of Jesus. 4 There remained with Jesus he who writeth; 5 whereupon Jesus, weeping, said: ‘O Barnabas,

b The Chapter of the grief of Jesus
بكاءً والولائم صوما والرقاد سهرا جمعت في كلمات ثلاثة كل ما قد سمعتموه 12 وهو إنه يجب على المرء هنا على الأرض أن يبكي دوما وأن البكاء يجب أن يكون من القلب لأن الله خالقنا (ا) مستاء 13 وإنه يجب عليكم أن تصوموا لكي تكون لكم سلطة على الحس 14 وأن تسهروا لكي لا تخطئوا 15 وإن البكاء الجسدي والصوم والسهر الجسديان يجب أن يكنّ بحسب بنية الأفراد.
الفصل الثاني بعد المائة (ب)
1 وبعد أن قال يسوع هذا قال : يجب عليكم أن تطلبوا ثمار الحقل التي بها قوام حياتنا منذ ثمانية أيام لم نأكل خبزا ( [2] ) 2 فلذلك أصلي إلى إلهنا وانتظركم مع برنابا 3 فانصرف التلاميذ والرسل كلهم أربعة أربعة وستة ستة وانطلقوا في الطريق حسب كلمة يسوع 4 وبقى مع يسوع الذي يكتب 5 فقال يسوع باكيا : يا برنابا
