9 When Jesus had spoken these words

9 When Jesus had spoken these words, behold there came to him the angel Gabriel , saying: 10 ’Fear not, O Jesus,for a thousand thousand who dwell above the heaven guard thy garments, 11 and thou shalt not die till everything be fulfilled, and the ( [1] ) world shall be near its end.’ 12 Jesus fell with his face to the ground, saying:

13 ‘ O great Lord ( [2] ) God, how great is thy mercy (a)upon me, and what shall I give thee,Lord, for all that thou hast granted me ( [3] )?’

15 The angel Gabriel answered: ‘Arise, Jesus, and remember Abraham, who being willing to make sacrifice to God of his only-begotten son (b) lshmael ( [4] ),to fulfil the word of God, 16 and the knife not being able to cut his son, at my word offered in sacrifice a sheep. 17 Even so therefore shalt thou do, O Jesus, servant of God ( [5].)’18 Jesus answered :’Willingly, 19 but where shall I find the lamb. seeing I have no money,and it is not lawful to steal it?’

20 Thereupon the angel Gabriel showed unto him a sheep ( [6],which Jesus offered in sacrifice,praising and blessing God, who is glorious for ever.

ولما أتم يسوع هذه الكلمات إذا بالملاك جبريل قد جاء إليه قائلا:10 لا تخف يا يسوع لأن ألف ألف من الذين يسكنون فوق السماء يحرسون ثيابك 11 ولا تموت حتى يكمل كل شئ ويمسي العالم على وشك النهاية( [7] ) 12 فخر يسوع على وجهه إلى الأرض قائلا :13 أيها الرب الإله العظيم (ا) ( [8] ) ما أعظم رجمتك لي 14 وماذا أعطيك يا رب مقابل ما أحسنت به إلي ( [9] )15 فأجاب الملاك جبريل انهض يا يسوع واذكر إبراهيم الذي كان يريد أن يقدم ابنه الوحيد (ب) إسماعيل ( [10] ) ذبيحة لله ليتم كلمات الله 16 فلما لم تقو المدية على ذبح ابنه قدم عملا بكلمتي كبشا 17 فعليك أن تفعل ذلك يا يسوع خادم الله ( [11] )18 فأجابه يسوع سمعا وطاعة 19 ولكن أين أجد الحمل وليس معي نقود ولا تجوز سرقته 20 فدله إذ ذاك جبريل على كبش ( [12] ) فقدمه يسوع ذبيحة حامدا ومسبحا لله الممجد إلى الأبد.

[4] Genesis 22 :12,16 .We can understand from the “ only son” that this event happened before the birth of Isaac (peace be on him) ,what confirms that also that the sacrifice is offered only the firstborn ( Exodus 13 :13 ) according to the commandments of Moses, Following Abraham (peace be on him) .See chapter 44 :1 _11 ,and chapter 67 :2,3.

[5] Alsaffat 100 _112 .The verses clarifies that Ishmael who was about to be made sacrifice before the birth of Isaac ,that God gifted Abraham Isaac because he was willing to Offer his firstborn and only son (Peace be on them )

[6] Genesis 22 : 10 _13 . Still in Genesis 22 :2 That Isaac is who was about to be made sacrifice.

[7] يذكر القرآن الكريم أنه لم يقتل ولم يصلب ولكنه لم يذكر صراحة أنه بعد حي وأنه سيعود ولكن ذلك يفهم ضمنا من الآيات آل عمران :46 ، المائدة :110 ،النساء :159 ،الزخرف :61 . وانظر لوقا 18 :7 ،8 ،لوقا 9 :27 ، يوحنا 12 :34 ، مزمور 91 :9 ـ 16 ،مزمور 37 :29 ـ34 وانظر أيضا فصل 139 .

[10] تكوين 22 :12 ،16 هذا ويستدل من كلمة الوحيد أن هذه الحادثة حدثت قبل ميلاد إسحاق عليه السلام كما وأنه يثبت هذا أيضا أن الذبيحة تقدم عن الذكر البكر فقط (خروج 13 :13 ) على شريعة موسى عليه السلام إقتداء بإبراهيم عليه السلام وانظر فصل 43 :27 ، فصل 44 :1 ـ11 فصل 67 :2 ،3 .

[11] الصافات :100 ـ112 حيث توضح الآيات أن الذي كان سيذبح هو إسماعيل قبل ميلاد إسحاق عليهما السلام ، وأن الله وهب إبراهيم إسحاق عليهما السلام مكافأة له على أنه رضي بتقديم ابنه البكر الوحيد إسماعيل عليه السلام.

[12] تكوين 22 :10 ـ 13 . ومع هذا ففي تكوين 22 :2 أن الذبيح هو إسحاق .
