unto the master of the ceremonies, who rebuked the attendants, saying: 12 ‘O worthless servants , why have ye kept the better wine tell now?’ For he knew nothing of all that Jesus had done.
13 The servants answered :’O Sir, there is here a holy man of God, for he hath made of water, wine.’ 14 The master of ceremonies thought that the servants were drunken; 15 but they that were sitting near to Jesus, having seen the whole matter, rose from the table and paid him reverence, saying :’verily thou art an holy one of God, a true prophet sent to us from God.(a)’
16 Then his disciples believed on him, 17 and many returned to their heart, saying:’ 18 Praised be God (b), who hath mercy upon Israel, and visiteth the house of Judah with love, and blessed be his holy name.’
[16] (c) Wonderful teaching given by Jesus to his apostles concerning conversion from evil life.
1 One day Jesus called his disciples and went up on to the mountain( [1] ), 2 and when he had sat down there his disciples came near unto him; and he opened his mouth and taught them, saying: 3 ‘Great are the benefits which God hath bestowed on us (d), wherefore it is necessary that we should serve him with truth of heart. 4 And forasmuch as new wine is put into new vessels ( [2] ),

إلى مدبر الحفلة الذي وبخ الأتباع قائلا :12 أيها الخدمة الأخساء لماذا أبقيتم الخمر الجيدة حتى الآن ؟ لأنه لم يعرف شيئا مما فعل يسوع 13 فأجاب الخدمة : يوجد هنا رجل قدوس الله لأنه جعل من الماء خمرا 14 غير أن مدبر الحفلة ظن أن الخدمة سكارى 15 أما الذين كانوا جالسين بجانب يسوع فلما رأوا الحقيقة نهضوا عن المائدة واحتفوا به قائلين : حقا إنك لقدوس الله ونبي صادق مرسل إلينا من الله (ا) 16 حينئذ آمن به تلاميذه 17 وعاد كثيرون إلى أنفسهم قائلين :18 الحمد لله (ب )الذي أظهر رحمة لإسرائيل وافتقد بيت بمحبته تبارك اسمه الأقدس.

التعاليم العجيبة التي علمها لتلاميذه
بخصوص الارتداد عن الحياة الشريرة
1 وجمع يسوع ذات يوم تلاميذه وصعد إلى الجبل ( [3] ) 2 فلما جلس هناك دنا منه تلاميذه ففتح فاه وعلمهم قائلا: 3 عظيمة هي النعم التي أنعم بها الله (ج) علينا فترتب علينا أن نعبده بإخلاص قلب 4 وكما أن الخمر الجديدة توضع في أوعية جديدة ( [4])
