again I say unto you that if ye were Pharisees ye would have had joy that I am entered in here, because God hath mercy upon sinners (a).

1 Then said Zacchaeus: ‘Sir, behold I will give, for love of God fourfold all that I have received by usury.’
2 Then said Jesus: ‘This day hath salvation come to this house. 3 Verily, verily, many publicans, harlots, and sinners shall go into the kingdom of God, 4 and they that account themselves righteous shall go into eternal flames.’
5 Hearing this, the Pharisees departed in indignation. 6 Then said Jesus to them that were converted to repentance, and to his disciples: (c)( [1] ) 7 ‘There was a father who had two sons, and the younger said: “Father, give me my portion of goods”; and his father gave it him. 8 And he, having received his portion, departed and went into a far country, whereupon he wasted all his substance with harlots, living luxuriously.

أعود فأقول لكم لو كنتم فريسيين لسررتم بدخولي هنا لأن الله يرحم ( ا) الخطاة .
الفصل السادس والأربعون بعد المائة (ب)
1 فقال حينئذ زكا : يا سيد انظر فإني أعطي حبا في الله أربعة أضعاف ما أخذت بالربا 2 حينئذ قال يسوع : اليوم حصل خلاص لهذا البيت 3 حقا حقا إن كثيرين من العشارين والزناة والخطاة سيمضون إلى ملكوت الله 4 وسيمضي الذين يحسبون أنفسهم أبرارا إلى اللهب الأبدية 5 فلما سمع الفريسيون هذا انصرفوا حانقين 6 ثم قال يسوع للذين تحولوا إلى التوبة ولتلاميذه 7 : كان لأب (ج)( [2] ) ابنان فقال أصغرهما " يا أبت أعطني نصيبي من المال " فأعطاه أبوه إياه 8 فلما أخذ نصيبه انصرف وذهب إلى كورة بعيدة حيث بذّر كل ماله على الزانيات بإسراف
