22 The younger answered: “O brother, thou sayest this in humility, for thou art a holy one of God. 23 Yet I answer thee that God our creator (a) looketh not on time, but looketh on the heart ( [1] ): 24 wherefore David, being fifteen years old, younger than six other his brethren ( [2] ), was chosen king of Israel, and became a prophet of God our Lord (b).”

1 ‘This man was a true Pharisee,’ said Jesus to his disciples; 2 and may it please God that we be able on the day of judgement to have him for our friend ( [3] ).’

3 Jesus them embarked on a ship, and the disciples were sorry ( [4] ) that they had forgotten to bring bread. 4 Jesus rebuked them saying: ‘Beware of the leaven the Pharisees of our day, for a little leaven marreth ( [5] ) a mass of meal.’

5 Then said the disciples one to another: ‘Now what leaven have we, if we have not even any bread?’

فريسي؟" أجاب الأصغر :22 " أيها الأخ إنك تقول هذا تواضعا لأنك قدوس الله 23 ولكن أجيبك بأن الله خالقنا (ا) لا ينظر إلى الوقت بل ينظر إلى القلب ( [6] ) 24 لذلك لما كان داود ابن خمس عشرة سنة وهو أصغر اخوته الستة ( [7] ) انتخبه إسرائيل ملكا ( اختير ملكاً لإسرائيل ) وصار نبي الله ربنا (ب)."

1وقال يسوع لتلاميذه : لقد كان هذا الرجل فريسيا حقيقيا 2 وان شاء الله أمكننا أن نأخذه يوم الدين ( [8] ) صديقا لنا 3 ودخل يسوع إلى سفينة وأسف تلاميذه ( [9] )لأنهم نسوا أن يحضروا خبزا 4 فانتهرهم يسوع قائلا : احذروا من خمير فريسي يومنا لأن خميرة صغيرة تخمر ( [10] ) كيلة من الدقيق 5 حينئذ قال التلاميذ بعضهم لبعض: أي خمير معنا إذا لم يكن معنا خبز؟6 فقال يسوع : يا قليلي الإيمان أنسيتم
