22 Then answered he who writeth: ‘How, then, is to be understood that which was said in Micaiah the prophet, concerning the lie which God ordained to be spoken by the mouth of false prophets, as is written in the book of the kings of Israel?’

23 Jesus answered: ‘O Barnabas, recite briefly all that befell, that we may see the truth clearly.’

1 Then said he who writeth: ‘Daniel the prophet, describing the history of the king of Israel and their tyrants, writeth thus: ( [1] ) “The king of Israel joined himself with the king of Judah to fight against the sons of Belial (that is, reprobates) who were the Ammonites. 2 Now Jehoshaphat, king of Judah and Ahab, king of Israel, being seated both on a throne in Samaria, there stood before them four hundred false prophets, 3 who said to the king of Israel: ‘Go up against the Ammonites, for God will give them into thy hands, and thou shalt scatter Ammon.’

4 ‘“Then said Jehoshaphat: ‘Is there here any prophet of the God of our fathers?’

حاول أن يبعدهم عن الله 22 حينئذ أجاب الذي يكتب : فكيف إذا أن يفهم ما قيل في ميخا النبي بشأن الكذب الذي أمر الله الأنبياء الكذبة أن يتفوهوا به كما هو مكتوب في كتاب ملوك إسرائيل ؟ 23 أجاب يسوع اتل يا برنابا بالاختصار كل ما حدث لترى الحق جليا .

الفصل الستون بعد المئة (ا)

1 حينئذ قال الذي يكتب : إن دانيال النبي لما وصف تاريخ ملوك إسرائيل وطغاتهم كتب هكذا ( [2] ) : ’ اتحد ملك إسرائيل مع ملك يهوذا ليحاربا بني بلعال ( أي المنبوذين ) الذين كانوا العمونيين 2 ولما كان يهوشافاط ملك يهوذا وأخاب ملك إسرائيل جالسين كلاهما على عرش في السامرة وقف أمامهم أربع مئة نبي كذاب 3 فقالوا لملك إسرائيل :" اصعد ضد العمونيين لأن الله يدفعهم إلى يديك وستبدد عمون " 4 حينئذ قال يهوشافاط :" هل يوجد نبي هنا لإله آبائنا ؟" 5 أجاب أخاب :" يوجد واحد فقط وهو شرير
