body, which as saith the prophet Solomon, being corruptible ( [1] ), presseth down the soul, and the works of God being proportionate to God how shall they be able to comprehend them?

8 Isaiah, prophet of God, seeing [it to be] thus, exclaimed, saying: ( [2] ) ‘Verily thou art a hidden God (a)!” 9 And of the messenger of God (b), how God (c) hath created him he saith ( [3] ): “His generation, who shall narrate?” 10 And of the working of God he saith ( [4] ): “Who hath been his counsellor?” 11 wherefore God saith unto human nature ( [5] ): “Even as the heaven is exalted above the earth, so are my ways exalted above your ways and my thoughts above your thoughts.”

12 Therefore I say unto you, the manner of predestination is not manifest to men albeit the fact is true, as I have told you (d).

13 ‘Ought man then, because he cannot find out the mode, to deny the fact? 14 Assuredly, I have never yet seen any one refuse health, though the manner of it be not understood. 15 For I know not even now how God by my touch healeth the sick.’

الجسد الذي هو كما يقول النبي سليمان قابل للفساد يضغط ( [6] ) ولما كانت أعمال الله مناسبة لله فكيف يمكن للإنسان إدراكها ؟ 8 فلما رأى إشعياء ( [7] ) نبي الله هذا صرخ قائلا :" حقا إنك لإله محتجب " (ا) 9 ويقول عن رسول الله (ب)( [8] )كيف خلقه (د) الله :" أما جيله فمن يصفه " 10 ويقول ( [9] ) عن عمل الله :" من كان مشيره فيه " 11 لذلك يقول الله للطبيعة البشرية ( [10] ) :" كما تعلو السماء عن الأرض هكذا تعلو طرقي عن طرقكم وأفكاري عن أفكاركم "12 لذلك أقول لكم أن كيفية القدر غير واضحة (د) للإنسان وإن كان ثبوته حقيقيا كما قلت لكم 13 أ فيجب إذا على الإنسان أن ينكر الواقع لأنه لا يقدر أن يعرف كيفيته ؟ 14 حقا إني لم أجد أحدا يرفض الصحة وإن لم يمكن إدراك كيفيتها 15 لأني لا أدري حتى الآن كيف يشفي الله المرض بواسطة لمسي .
