1 ‘God saith thus in Isaiah ( [1] ) the prophet, pouring contempt on the reprobate: “My servants shall sit at my table in mine house and shall feast joyfully, with gladness and with the sound of harps and organs, and I will not suffer them to have need of anything. 2 But ye that are mine enemies shall be cast away from me, where ye shall die in misery, while every servant of mine despiseth you.”
1 ‘To what doth it serve to say, “They shall feast”?’ Said Jesus to his disciples. 2 Surely God speaketh plain. 3 But to what purpose are the four rivers ( [2] ) of precious liquor in paradise, with so many fruits? 4 Assuredly, God eateth not, the angels eat not ( [3] ), the soul eateth not, the sense eateth not (b), but rather the flesh, Which is our body. 5 Wherefore the glory paradise is for the body the meats, 6 and for the soul and the sense God and the conversation of angels and blessed spirits ( [4] ). 7 That glory shall be better revealed by the messenger of God (c), who(seeing God hath created (d) all things for love of him) knoweth all things better than any ( [5] )

الفصل الخامس والسبعون بعد المئة (ا)
1 هكذا يقول الله على لسان ( في { سفر} ) إشعياء ( [6] ) النبي ساكبا ازدراء على المنبوذين :" يجلس خدمي على مائدتي في بيتي ويتلذذون بابتهاج مع حبور ومع صوت الأعواد والأراغن ولا أدعهم يحتاجون شيئا ما 2 أما أنتم أعدائي فتطرحون خارجا عني حيث تموتون في الشقاء وكل خادم لي يمتهنكم ".
الفصل السادس والسبعون بعد المئة (ا)
1 قال يسوع لتلاميذه : ماذا يجدي نفعا قوله يتلذذون 2 حقا إن الله يتكلم جليا 3 ولكن ما فائدة الأنهر الأربعة ( [7] ) من السائل الثمين في الجنة مع ثمار وافرة جدا؟ 4 فمن المؤكد أن الله لا يأكل والملائكة لا تأكل ( [8] ) والنفس لا تأكل والحس لا يأكل (ب) بل الجسد الذي هو جسمنا 5 فمجد الجنة هو طعام الجسد 6 أما النفس والحس فلهما الله ومحادثة الملائكة والأرواح المباركة ( [9] ) 7 وأما ذلك المجد فسيوضحه بأجلى بيان رسول الله (ج) الذي هو أدرى بالأشياء من كل مخلوق ( [10] ) لأن الله قد خلق (د) كل شئ
