mirror shining like the sun, 3 wherein he beheld written these words: ‘As I live eternally (a), 4 even as paradise is greater than all heavens and the earth, and as the whole earth is greater than a grain of sand, even so am I greater than paradise; 5 and as many times more as the sea hath grains of sand, as there are drops of water upon the sea, as there are [blades of] grass upon the Ground as there are leaves upon the trees, as there are skins upon the beasts; 6 and as many times more as the grains of sand that would go to fill the heavens and paradise and more ( [1] ).’
7 Then said Jesus: ‘Let us do reverence to our God, who is blessed for evermore. 8 Thereupon they bowed their heads an hundred times (b) and prostrated themselves to earth upon their face in prayer.
9 When the prayer was done, Jesus called peter and told him and all the disciples what he had seen, 10 and to Peter he said: ‘Thy soul, which is greater that all the earth, through one eye seeth the sun, which is a thousand times greater than all the earth ( [2] ).’
11 ‘It is true.’ Said Peter.
12 Then said Jesus: ‘Even so through [the eye of] paradise shalt thou see

a God lives and persists, and is Greatest, Mighty.

مرآة براقة كالشمس 3 رأى فيها هذه الكلمات مكتوبة :" لعمري (ا) أنا الأبدي 4 كما أن الجنة أكبر من السموات برمتها والأرض ، وكما أن الأرض برمتها أكبر من حبة رمل هكذا أنا أكبر من الجنة 5 بل أكثر كثيرا من ذلك عدد حبوب رمل البحر وقطرات الماء في البحر وعشب الأرض وأوراق الأشجار وجلود الحيوانات 6 بل أكثر من ذلك كثيرا عدد حبوب الرمل التي تملأ السموات والجنة بل أكثر ( [3] )" 7 حينئذ قال يسوع: لنسجد لإلهنا المبارك إلى الأبد 8 فطأطأوا من ثم رؤوسهم مئة مرة (ب) وعفَّروا الأرض بوجوههم في الصلاة 9 ولما انتهت الصلاة دعا يسوع بطرس وأخبره هو وكل التلاميذ بما رأى 10 وقال بطرس : إن نفسك التي هي أعظم من الأرض برمتها ترى بعين واحدة الشمس التي هي أكبر من الأرض بألوف المرات ( [4] ) 11 فأجاب بطرس : إن ذلك لصحيح 12 فقال حينئذ يسوع : هكذا ترى
