God our creator (a). 13 And having said this Jesus gave thanks to God our Lord (b), praying for the house of Israel and for the holy city. 14 And everyone answered: ‘So be it, Lord.’

1 One day Jesus being in Solomon’s porch, there drew night to him a scribe, one of them that made discourse to the people, 2 and said to him “O master, I have many times made discourse to this people, and there is in my mind a passage of scripture which I am not able to understand.’
3 Jesus answered: ‘And what is it?’
4 Said the scribe: ‘That which God said to Abraham our father, “I will be thy great reward ( [1] ).” Now how could man merit [such reward]?
5 Then Jesus rejoiced in spirit ( [2] ), and said: ‘Assuredly thou art not far from the kingdom of God ( [3] )! 6 listen to me, for I will tell thee the meaning of such teaching. 7 God being infinite, and man finite, man cannot merit God _ and is this thy doubt, brother?’
8 The scribe answered,

a God is the Creator.
b God is Sovereign.

الله خالقك (ا) بواسطة الجنة 13 وبعد أن قال يسوع هذا شكر الله ربنا (ب) مصليا لأجل بيت إسرائيل والمدينة المقدسة 14 فأجاب كل واحد : ليكن كذلك يا رب .
الفصل الثمانون بعد المئة (ج)
1 ولما كان يسوع ذات يوم في رواق سليمان دنا منه أحد ( فرقة ) الكتبة وهو أحد الذين يخطبون في الشعب 2 وقال له : يا معلم لقد خطبت في هذا الشعب مرارا عديدة وفي خاطري آية من الكتاب أشكل عليّ فهمها 3 أجاب يسوع : وما هي ؟ 4 قال الكاتب : هي ما قاله الله لإبراهيم أبينا : " إني أكون جزاءك العظيم "( [4] ) فكيف يستحق الإنسان ( هذا الجزاء ) 5 فتهلل حينئذ يسوع بالروح ( [5] ) وقال : حقا إنك لست بعيدا عن ملكوت الله ( [6] ) 6 أصخ السمع إليَّ لأني أفيدك معنى هذا التعليم 7 لما كان الله غير محدود والإنسان محدودا لم يستحق الإنسان الله فهل هذا موضوع ريبتك أيها الأخ ؟ 8 أجاب الكاتب
