and to thy disciples.’
32 Jesus answered: ‘I will come thither when thou wilt promise to call me “Brother”, and not “Lord”, and shalt say thou art my brother, and not my servant ( [1] ).’
The man promised, and Jesus went to his house.

1 While they sat at meat the scribe said: ‘O master, thou saidst that God loveth (b) true humility. 2 Tell us therefore what is humility, and how it can be true and false.’
3 [Jesus replied:] ‘Verily I say unto you that he who becometh not as a little child ( [2] )shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.’
4 Every one was amazed at hearing this, 5 and they said one to another: ‘Now how shall he become a little child who is thirty or forty years old? Surely this is a hard saying.’
6 Jesus answered: ‘As God liveth,(c) in whose presence my soul standeth, my words are true. 7 I said unto you that [a man] hath need to become as a little child: for this is true humility. 8 For if ye ask a little child: “Who hath made thy garments?” he will answer:

وللتلاميذ طعاما 32 أجاب يسوع : إني أذهب الآن إلى هناك متى وعدتني أن تدعوني أخا لا سيدا وتقول أنك أخي لا خادمي ( [3] ) فوعد الرجل وذهب يسوع إلى بيته .
الفصل الثالث والثمانون بعد المئة (ا)
1 وبينما كانوا جالسين على الطعام قال الكاتب : يا معلم قلت أن الله يحب (ب) الاتضاع الحقيقي 2 فقل لنا ما هو وكيف يكون حقيقيا أو كاذبا 3 أجاب يسوع : الحق أقول لكم أن من لا يصير كطفل صغير ( [4] ) لا يدخل ملكوت السماء 4 تعجب كل أحد لسماع هذا 5 وقال كل للآخر : كيف يمكن لمن كان ابن ثلاثين أو أربعين سنة أن يصير ولدا ؟ حقا إن هذا لقول عويص 6 أجاب يسوع : لعمر الله (ج) الذي تقف نفسي في حضرته أن كلامي لحق 7 إني قلت لكم أنه يجب على الإنسان أن يصير كطفل صغير لأن هذا هو الاتضاع الحقيقي 8 فإنكم لو سألتم ولدا صغيرا :" من صنع ثيابك " يجيب
