28 Then Jesus lifted up his hands to heaven, and said: ‘Lord God of Abraham, God of Ishmael and Isaac, God of our fathers (a)( [1] ), have mercy upon the affliction of these women, and give glory to thy holy name ( [2] ).’ 29 And when every one had answered ‘Amen’, Jesus said with a loud voice:
30 ‘Lazarus, come forth!’
31 Whereupon he that was dead arose; 32 and Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Loose him’. For he was bound in the grave-clothes with the napkin over his face, even as our fathers were accustomed to bury [their dead].
34 A great multitude of the Jews and some of the Pharisees believed in Jesus, because the miracle was great. 35 Those that remained in their unbelief departed, and went to Jerusalem and announced to the chief of the priests the resurrection of Lazarus, and how that many were become Nazarenes ( [3] ); 36 for so they called them who were brought to penitence through the word of God which Jesus preached.

إلى هذا العالم 28 ثم رفع يسوع يديه إلى السماء وقال : أيها الرب إله إبراهيم وإسماعيل وإسحاق وإله آبائنا (ا) ( [4] ) ارحم مصاب هاتين المرأتين واعط مجدا لاسمك المقدس ( [5] ) 29 ولما أجاب كل واحد : آمين قال يسوع بصوت عالٍ : 30 لعازر هلم خارجا 31 فقام على أثر ذلك الميت 32 وقال يسوع لتلاميذه : حلوُّه 33 لأنه كان مربوطا بثياب القبر مع منديل على وجهه كما اعتاد آباؤنا أن يدفنوا ( موتاهم ) 34 فآمن بيسوع جم غفير من اليهود وبعض الفريسيين لأن الآية كانت عظيمة 35 وانصرف الذين لبثوا بدون إيمان وذهبوا إلى أورشليم وأخبروا رئيس الكهنة بقيامة لعازر وأن كثيرين صاروا ناصريين ( [6] ) 36 لأنهم هكذا كان يدعون الذين حملوا على التوبة بواسطة كلمة الله والتي بشَّر بها يسوع.
