the bird to fly away, what doeth it? 5 Assuredly it commandeth naturally the hand to open; and so straightway the bird flieth away. 6 “Our soul” as saith the prophet David,( [1] ) “is as a sparrow freed from the snare of the fowler,” when man abideth under the protection of God. 7 And our life is like a cord whereby nature holdeth the soul bound to the body and the sense of man. 8 When therefore God willeth, and commandeth nature to open, the life is broken and the soul escapeth in the hands of the angels ( [2] ) whom God hath ordained to receive souls.
9 ‘Let not then friends weep when their friend is dead; for our God hath willed But let him weep without ceasing when he sinneth, for [so] the soul dieth, seeing it separateth itself from God the true life (a).
11 ‘If the body is horrible without its union with the soul, much more frightful is the soul without union with God who with his grace and mercy (b) beautifieth and quickneth it.’
12 And having said this Jesus gave thanks to God; 13 whereupon Lazarus said: ‘Lord this house belongeth to God; my creator(c), with

a God is truth, life ( God The true Living ) .
b God is guidance and merciful.
c God creates.
العصفور فماذا يفعل ؟ 5 من المؤكد أنه بالطبع يأمر اليد بالانفتاح فينفلت العصفور توا 6 أن نفسنا ما لبث الإنسان تحت حماية الله هي ـ كما يقول النبي داود ( [3] ) ـ " كعصفور أفلت من شرك الصياد " 7 وحياتنا كخيط تربط فيه النفس إلى جسد الإنسان وحسه 8 فمتى أراد الله وأمر الطبيعة أن تنفتح انتهت الحياة وانفلتت النفس إلى أيدي الملائكة ( [4] ) الذين عيَّنهم الله لقبض النفوس 9 لذلك لا يجب على الأصدقاء أن يبكوا متى مات صديق لأن إلهنا أراد ذلك 10 بل ليـَبْك بدون انقطاع متى أخطأ لأن النفس تموت إذ تنفصل عن الله ( وهو ) الحياة الحقيقية (ا)11 فإذا كان الجسد بدون اتحاده مع النفس مخيفا فإن النفس تكون أشد هولا بدون اتحادها مع الله الذي يجملها ويحييها بنعمته ورحمته (ب) 12 ولما قال يسوع هذا شكر الله 13 وقال حينئذ لعازر : يا سيد هذا البيت لله خالقي (ج) مع
