go to seek it leaving the ninety and nine? 15 And when ye found it, would ye not lay it upon your shoulders 16 and, having called together your neighbours, say unto them: “Rejoice with me, for I have found the sheep which I had lost?” 17 Assuredly ye would do so.
18 Now tell me, shall our God love (a) less man, for whom he hath made the world (b)? 19 As God liveth (c) even so there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth ( [1] ), because sinners make known God’s mercy.’
1 Tell me, by whom is the physician more loved: by them that have never had any sickness, or by them whom the physician hath healed of grievous sickness?’
2 Said the Pharisees to him: ‘And how shall he that is whole love the physician? Assuredly he will love him only for that he is not sick; and not having knowledge of sickness he will love the physician but little.’
3 Then with vehemence of spirit Jesus spake saying: ‘As God liveth(d) your own tongues condemn your pride, 4 inasmuch as our God is loved

ألا ينشده تاركا التسعة والتسعين؟ 15 ومتى وجدته ألا تضعه على منكبيك 16 وبعد أن تدعوا الجيران تقول لهم : " افرحوا معي لأني وجدت الخروف الذي فقدته " 17 حقا إنك تفعل هكذا 18 ألا فقولوا لي أيحب (ا) الله الإنسان أقل من ذلك وهو لأجله قد خلق العالم (ب) ؟ 19 لعمر الله (ج) هكذا يكون فرح في حضرة ملائكة الله بخاطئ واحد يتوب ( [2] ) لأن الخطاة يظهرون رحمة الله .
1 قولوا لي من هو أشد حبا للطبيب أ الذين لم يمرضوا مطلقا أم الذين شفاهم الطبيب من أمراض خطرة ؟ 2 قال له الفريسيون : وكيف يحب الصحيح الطبيب ؟ حقا إنما يحبه لأنه ليس بمريض ولما لم تكن له معرفة بالمرض لا يحب الطبيب إلا قليلا 3 حينئذ تكلم يسوع بحدة الروح قائلا : لعمر الله (د) أن لسانكم يدين كبرياءكم 4 لأن الخاطئ التائب يحب إلهنا أكثر
