1 Then lifting up his hands to the Lord, he prayed, saying: ( [1] )‘ Lord our God, God of Abraham, God of Ishmael and Isaac, God of our fathers, (b)(c) have mercy upon them that thou hast given me, and save them (d) from the world. 2 I say not, take them from the world, because it is necessary that they shall bear witness against them that shall corrupt my gospel. 3 But I pray thee to keep them from evil, 4 that on the day of thy Judgement they may come with me to bear witness against the world and against the house of Israel that hath corrupted thy testament. 5 Lord God, mighty and Jealous, that takest vengeance (e) upon idolatry against the sons of idolatrous fathers even unto the forth generation ( [2] ), do thou curse eternally every one that shall corrupt my gospel that thou gavest me, when they write that I am thy son. 6 For I, clay and dust, am servant of thy servants, and never have I thought myself to be thy good servant ( [3] ) ; 7 for I cannot give thee aught in return for that which thou hast given me, for all things are thine. 8 Lord God, the merciful (f), that shewest mercy unto a thousand generations upon them that fear thee ( [4] ), have mercy

1 ثم رفع يديه إلى الرب وصلى قائلا ( [5] ) : أيها الرب إلهنا إله إبراهيم وإله إسماعيل وإسحاق إله آبائنا (ب)(ج) ارحم من أعطيتني وخلصهم (د) من العالم 2 لا أقول لك خذهم من العالم لأنه من الضروري أن يشهدوا على الذين يفسدون إنجيلي 3 ولكن أضرع إليك أن تحفظهم من الشرير 4 حتى يحضروا معي يوم الدينونة يشهدوا على العالم وعلى بيت إسرائيل الذي أفسد عهدك 5 أيها الرب الإله القدير الغيور الذي ينتقم (هـ) في عبادة الأصنام من أبناء الآباء عبدة الأصنام حتى الجيل الرابع ( [6] ) العن إلى الأبد كل من يفسد إنجيلي الذي أعطيتني عندما يكتبون أني ابنك 6 لأني أنا الطين والتراب خادم خدمك ولم أحسب نفسي قط خادما صالحا لك ( [7] ) 7 لأني لا أقدر أن أكافئك على ما أعطيتني لأن كل الأشياء لك 8 أيها الرب الإله الرحيم (و) الذي تظهر رحمة إلى ألف جيل للذين يخافونك ( [8] ) ارحم
