verily there is none other God than the God of Israel

verily there is none other God than the God of Israel (a) ( [1] ).30 Whereupon all her kinsfolk ( [2] ) joined themselves unto the law of [God] according to the law written in the book of Moses.

1 The disciples questioned Jesus on that day, saying: ‘O master, why didst thou make such answer to the woman, saying that they were dogs?

2 Jesus answered :’verily I say unto you that a dog is better than an uncircumcised Man. 3 Then were the disciples sorrowful, saying: ‘ hard are these words, and who shall be able to receive them ( [3] )?

4 Jesus answered: ‘If ye consider, O foolish ones, what the dog doth, that hath no reason, for the service of his master, ye will find my saying to be true, 5 tell me doth the dog guard the house of his master, and expose his life against the robber? 6 Yea, assuredly. But what receiveth he? 7 Many blows and injuries with little bread, and he always showeth to his master a joyful countenance. Is this true?

9 Then said Jesus: ‘consider now how much God hath given (c) to man, and ye shall see how unrighteous he is in not observing the Covenant of God made with

1 فسأل التلاميذ يسوع في ذلك النهار قائلين : يا معلم لماذا أجبت المرأة بهذا الجواب قائلا أنهم كلاب 2 أجاب يسوع : الحق أقول لكم أن الكلب أفضل من رجل غير مختون 3 فحزن التلاميذ قائلين :إن هذا الكلام لثقيل ومن يقوي على قبوله ( [6] ) 4 أجاب يسوع : إذا لاحظتم أيها الجهال ما يفعل الكلب الذي لا عقل له لخدمة صاحبه علمتم أن كلامي صادق 5 قولوا لي أ يحرس الكلب بيت صاحبه ويعرض نفسه للص ؟ 6 نعم ولكن ما جزاؤه ؟ 7 ضرب كثير وأذى مع قليل من الخبز وهو يظهر لصاحبه وجها مسرورا أ صحيح هذا ؟ 8 فأجاب التلاميذ :إنه لصحيح يا معلم 9 حينئذ قال يسوع : تأملوا إذا ما أعظم ما وهب ( ج) الله الإنسان فتروا إذا ما أكفره لعدم وفائه بعهد الله مع
