speedily thy messenger (a), that Satan thine enemy may lose his empire.’ 19 And having said this Jesus said three times: ‘So be it Lord, great and merciful! (b)’
20 And they answered, weeping: ‘So be it’ all save Judas, for he believed nothing.

1 The day having come for eating the lamb, Nicodemus sent the lamb secretly to the garden for Jesus and his disciples, 2 announcing all that had been decreed by Herod with the governor and the high priest.
3 Whereupon Jesus rejoiced in spirit, saying: ‘Blessed be thy holy name, O Lord, because thou hast not separated me from the number of thy servants that have been persecuted by the world and slain ( [1] ). 4 I thank thee, my God, because I have fulfilled thy work ( [2] ).’ 5 And turning to Judas ( [3] ), he said to him: ‘Friend, wherefore tarriest thou? 6 My time is nigh, wherefore go and do that which thou must do.’
7 The disciples thought that Jesus was sending Judas to buy something for the day

بإرسال رسولك لكي يسلب الشيطان عدوك مملكته 19 وبعد أن فرغ يسوع من هذا قال ثلاث مرار : ليكن هذا أيها الرب العظيم الرحيم 20 فأجابوا كلهم باكين : ليكن هكذا ليكن هكذا 21 خلا يهوذا لأنه لم يؤمن بشئ.
الفصل الثالث عشر بعد المئتين
1 ولما جاء يوم أكل الحمل أرسل نيقوديموس الحمل سرا إلى البستان ليسوع وتلاميذه 2 مخبرا بكل ما أمر به هيرودس والوالي ورئيس الكهنة 3 فتهلل من ثم يسوع قائلا : تبارك اسمك القدوس يا رب لأنك لم تفرزني من عدد خدمتك الذي اضطهدهم وقتلهم العالم ( [4] ) 4 أشكرك يا إلهي لأنك ( لأني ) قد أتممت عملك ( [5] ) 5 ثم التفت إلى يهوذا ( [6] ) وقال له : يا صديق لماذا تتأخر ؟ 6 إن وقتي قد دنا فاذهب وافعل ما يجب أن تفعله 7 فظن التلاميذ أن يسوع أرسل يهوذا يشتري شيئا ليوم
