the end of the world. 21 Wherefore he went with the mother of Jesus and with John to the cross.
22 The high priest caused Judas to be brought before him bound, 23 and asked him of his disciples and his doctrine.
24 Whereupon Judas, as though beside himself, answered nothing to the point. 25 The high priest then adjured him ( [1] ) by the living God (a) of Israel that he would tell him the truth.
26 Judas answered: ‘I have told you that I am Judas Iscariot, who promised to give into your hands Jesus the Nazarene; 27 and ye, by what art I know not, are beside yourselves, 28 for ye will have it by every means that I am Jesus.’
29 The high priest answered: ‘O perverse seducer, thou hast deceived all Israel, beginning from Galilee even unto Jerusalem here ( [2] ), with thy doctrine and false miracles: 30 and now thinkest thou to flee the merited punishment that befitteth thee by feigning to be mad? 31 As God liveth (a), thou shalt not escape it! 32 And having said this he commanded his servants to smite him with buffetings and kicks, so that his understanding might come back into his head. 33 The derision which he then suffered, at the hands of the high priest’s servants is

و أنه لا يموت إلا وشك نهاية العالم 21 لذلك ذهب (الذي يكتب ) مع أم يسوع ومع يوحنا إلى الصليب 22 فأمر رئيس الكهنة أن يؤتى بيسوع موثقا أمامه 23 وسأله عن تلاميذه وعن تعليمه 24 فلم يجب يهوذا بشيء في الموضوع كأنه جن 25 حينئذ استحلفه ( [3] ) رئيس الكهنة باله إسرائيل الحي (ا) أن يقول له الحق 26 أجاب يهوذا : لقد قلت لكم أنى يهوذا الأسخريوطى الذي وعد أن يسلم إلى أيديكم يسوع الناصري 27 أما أنتم فلا أدرى بأي حيلة قد جننتم 28 لأنكم تريدون بكل وسيلة أن أكون أنا يسوع 29 أجاب رئيس الكهنة : أيها الضال المضل لقد ضللت كل إسرائيل بتعليمك و آياتك الكاذبة مبتدئا من الجليل حتى أورشليم ( [4] ) هنا 30 أ فيخيل لك الآن أن تنجو من العقاب الذي تستحقه والذي أنت أهل له بالتظاهر بالجنون ؟ 31 لعمر الله (ا) انك لا تنجو منه 32 وبعد أن قال هذا أمر خدمه أن يوسعه لطما و رفسا لكي يعود عقله إلى رأسه 33 ولقد أصابه من الاستهزاء على يد خدم رئيس الكهنة
