having received it gave Judas to the scribes and Pharisees as guilty unto death ( [1] ). 77 Whereupon they condemned two robbers with him to the death of the cross.
78 So they led him to Mount Calvary ( [2] ), where they used to hang malefactors, and there they crucified him naked for the greater ignominy.
79 Judas truly did nothing else but cry out: ‘God why hast thou forsaken me ( [3] ), seeing the malefactor hath escaped and I die unjustly?
80 Verily I say that the voice, the face and the person of Judas were so like to Jesus, that his disciples and believers entirely believed that he was Jesus; 81 wherefore some departed from the doctrine of Jesus, believing that Jesus had been a false prophet, and that by art magic he had done the miracles which he did: 82 for Jesus had said that he should not die till near the end of the world ( [4] ( 83 for that at that time he should be taken away from the world.
84 But they that stood firm in the doctrine of Jesus were so encompassed with sorrow, seeing
فتناولها وأسلم يهوذا للكتبة والفريسيين كأنه مجرم يستحق الموت ( [5] ) 77 وحكموا بالصلب على لصين معه 78 فقادوه إلي جبل الجمجمة ( [6] ) حيث اعتادوا شنق المجرمين وهناك صلبوه عريانا مبالغة في تحقيره 79 ولم يفعل يهوذا شيئا سوى الصراخ : يا الله لماذا تركتني ( [7] ) فإن المجرم قد نجا أما أنا فأموت ظلما 80 الحق أقول أن صوت يهوذا ووجه وشخصه بلغت من الشبه بيسوع أن اعتقده تلاميذه والمؤمنون به كافة أنه هو يسوع 81 لذلك خرج بعضهم من تعليم يسوع معتقدين أن يسوع كان نبيا كاذبا وأنه إنما فعل الآيات التي فعلها بصناعة السحر 82 لأن يسوع قال أنه لا يموت إلي وشك انقضاء العالم ( [8] ) 83 لأنه سيؤخذ في ذلك الوقت من العالم 84 فالذين ثبتوا راسخين في تعليم يسوع حاق بهم الحزن إذ رأوا
