Abraham his servant. 10 Remember that which David said to Saul king of Israel, against Goliath the Philistine. 11 “My Lord”, said David, “while thy servant was keeping thy servant’s flock there came the wolf, the bear, and the lion and seized they servant’s sheep. 12 Whereupon thy servant went and slew them, rescuing the sheep. 13 And what is this uncircumcised one but like unto them! 14 Therefore will thy servant go in the name of the Lord God[1] of Israel, and will slay this unclean one that blasphemeth the holy people of God.”
15 Then said the disciples: ‘Tell us O master, for what reason man must needs be circumcised?
16 Jesus answered: ‘let it suffice you that God hath commanded it to Abraham saying “Abraham, circumcise thy foreskin and that of all thy house, for this is a covenant between me and thee for ever.”

عبده إبراهيم ( [1] ) 10 اذكروا ما قاله داود ( [2] )لشاول ملك إسرائيل ضد جليات الفلسطيني 11 قال داود :" يا سيدي بينما يرعى عبدك قطيعه جاء ذئب ودب وأسد وانقضت على غنم عبدك 12 فجاء عبدك وقتلها وأنقذ الغنم 13 وما هذا الأغلف إلا كواحد منها ( [3] )14 لذلك يذهب عبدك باسم الرب (ا) إله إسرائيل ويقتل هذا النجس الذي يجدف على شعب الله الطاهر " 15 حينئذ قال التلاميذ : قل لنا يا معلم لأي سبب يجب على الإنسان الختان ؟ 16 فأجاب يسوع : يكفيكم أن الله أمر به إبراهيم قائلا ( [4] ): يا إبراهيم اقطع غرلتك وغرلة بيتك لأن هذا عهد بيني وبينك إلى الأبد .

ولعنة الغلف
1 ولما قال ذلك يسوع جلس قريبا من الجبل الذي كانوا يشرفون عليه ( [5] )2 فجاء تلاميذه إلى جانبه ليصغوا إلى كلامه 3 حينئذ قال يسوع : إنه لما أكل آدم الإنسان الأول الطعام الذي نهاه الله عنه في الفردوس مخدوعا من الشيطان
