23 Peter answered: ‘true are thy words; 24 wherefore I pray thee tell us how Abraham mocked his father.
25 Jesus replied: ‘Abraham was seven years old when he began to seek God. 26 So one day he said to his father:” Father, what made man? “
27 The foolish father answered: “Man; 28 for I made thee, and my father made me.”
29 Abraham answered: “father, it is not so; 30 for I have heard an old man weeping and saying: ‘O my God, wherefore hast thou not given me children?” 31 His father replied: ‘It is true, my son, that God helpeth man to make man, but he putteth not his hands thereto; 32 it is only necessary that man come to pray to his God and to give him lambs and sheep, and his God will help him.”
33 Abraham answered: “ how many gods are there, father?”
34 The old man replied: “they are infinite in number, my son.”
35 Then said Abraham: “O father, what shall I do if I shall serve one god and
اعطيها لك ولنسلك ( [1] )20 ولماذا قال الله ذلك ؟ 21 أ ليس لأن أبا إبراهيم كان صانع تماثيل يصنع ويعبد آلهة كاذبة ؟ 22 لذلك بلغ العداء بينهما حدا أراد معه الأب أن يحرق ابنه 23 أجاب بطرس : إن كلماتك لصادقة 24 وإني أضرع إليك أن تقص علينا كيف سخر إبراهيم من أبيه؟ 25 أجاب يسوع : كان إبراهيم ابن سبع سنين لما ابتدأ يطلب الله 26 فقال يوما لأبيه :" يا أبتاه من صنع الإنسان ؟" ( [2] ) 27 أجاب الوالد الغبي :" الإنسان 28 لأني أنا صنعتك وأبي صنعني " 29 فأجاب إبراهيم :" يا أبي ليس الأمر كذلك 30 لأني سمعت شيخا ينتحب ويقول :" يا إلهي لماذا لم تعطني أولادا ". 31 أجاب أبوه :"حقا يا بني الله يساعد الإنسان ليصنع إنسانا ولكنه لا يضع يده فيه 32 فلا يلزم الإنسان إلا أن يتقدم ويضرع إلى إلهه ويقدم له حملانا وغنما يساعده إلهه" 33 أجاب إبراهيم :" كم إلها هنالك يا أبي ؟" 34 أجاب الشيخ :" لا عدد لهم يا بني " 35 فحينئذ أجاب إبراهيم :" ماذا أفعل يا أبي إذا خدمت إلها و
