11 Then the serpent did so, 12 and placed Satan near to eve, for Adam, her husband, was sleeping. 13 Satan presented himself before the woman like a beauteous angel ( [1] ), and said to her: “wherefore eat ye not of those apples and of corn?”

14 Eve answered: “Our God hath said to us that eating thereof we shall be unclean, and therefore he will drive us from paradise.”

15 Satan answered: “He saith not the truth. 16 Thou must know that God is wicked and envious, 17 and therefore he brooketh no equals, 18 but keepeth every one for a slave. 19 And so he hath thus spoken unto you, in order that ye may not become equal to him. 20 But if thou and thy companion do according to my counsel, ye shall eat of those fruits even as of the others, 21 and ye shall not remain subject to others 22 but like God ye shall know good and evil ( [2] ), and ye shall do that which ye please, 23 because ye shall be equal to God.”

24 Then eve took and ate ( [3] )of those [fruits], 25 and when her husband awoke she told all that Satan had said; 26 and he took of them, his wife offering them and did eat. 27 Whereupon as the food was going down, he remembered the words of God; 28 wherefore, wishing to stop the food, he put his hand into his throat, where every man has the mark.( [4] ).

1 اللتين تمشيان حديثا على الأرض " 11 ففعلت عندئذ الحية ذلك 12 ووضعت الشيطان بجانب حواء لأن آدم زوجها كان نائما 13 فتمثل الشيطان للمرأة ملاكا جميلا وقال لها ( [5]):" لماذا لا تأكلان من هذا التفاح وهذه الحنطة ؟" 14 أجابت حواء :" قال لنا إلهنا أنا إذا أكلنا منها صرنا نجسين ولذلك يطردنا من الجنة" 15 فأجاب الشيطان :" إنه لم يقل الصدق 16 فيجب أن تعرفي أن الله شرير حسود 17 ولذلك لا يحتمل أندادا 18 ولكنه يستعبد كل أحد 19 وهو إنما قال لكما ذلك لكيلا تصيرا ندين له 20 ولكن إذا كنت وعشيرك تعملان بنصيحتي فإنكما تأكلان من هذه الأثمار كما تأكلان من غيرها 21 ولا تلبثا خاضعين لآخرين 22 بل تعرفان الخير والشر ( [6] ) كالله وتفعلان ما تريدان 23 لأنكما تصيران ندين لله " 24 فأخذت حينئذ حواء ([7] ) وأكلت من هذه الأثمار 25 ولما استيقظ زوجها أخبرته بكل ما قال الشيطان 26 فتناول منها ما قدمته له وأكل 27 وبينما كان الطعام نازلا ذكر كلام الله 28 فلذلك أراد أن يوقف الطعام فوضع يده في حلقة حيث كل إنسان له علامة ([8] ).

Being after eating unclean ( as the manuscript says) , aware that they are naked , connecting this also by circumcision , as in chapter 23 :3 _ 12 , determines that this fruit caused human being to have sex . The Old Testament connects it also by death, which is reasonable , because it is not possible that the immortal to propagate. In Noble Quran ( Al-A’raf :20 ) the Satan trying to convince Eve told her that this tree causes immortality, being like angels ( without sex). It is well known that what the Satan says is the opposite of the truth.

[8] المقصود تفاحة آدم في الذكور . وكونهما صارا نجسين ـ على حسب تعبير كاتب المخطوط ـ وعلمهما أنهما عريانين مع ربطها أيضا بالختان ، كما جاء بالفصل 23 :3 ـ 12 ، يؤكد أن هذه الشجرة هي التي جعلت الإنسان ذا جنس . كما يربطه العهد القديم أيضا بالموت ( التكوين 2 : 17 ) ، وهو منطق مقبول فليس من الممكن أن يتناسل الخالد. يذكر القرآن الكريم أن الشيطان وهو يحاول إغواء حواء قال لها أنها ستجعلهما ملكين ( أي بدون جنس ) وخالدين ( الأعراف :20 ) . ومن المعروف أن ما يقوله الشيطان هو عكس الحقيقة.
