30 The disciples were filled with fear, and fell with their face upon the earth as dead. 30 Jesus went down and raised up his disciples, saying:’ fear not, for God loveth you (a), and hath done this in order that ye may believe on my words.’

1 Jesus went down to the eight disciples who were awaiting him below. 2 And the four ( [1] )narrated to the eight all that they had seen: 3 and so there departed that day from their heart all doubt of Jesus, save [from] Judas Iscariot, who believed naught. 4 Jesus seated himself at the foot of the mountain, and they ate of the wild fruits, because they had not bread.

5 Then said Andrew: ‘thou hast told us many things of the Messiah, therefore of thy kindness tell us clearly all.’ And in like manner the other disciples besought him.

6 Accordingly Jesus said: ‘everyone that worketh worketh for an end in which he findeth satisfaction. 7 Wherefore I say unto you that God verily because he is perfect (c) , hath not need of satisfaction, 8 seeing that he hath satisfaction himself ( [2] ). 9 And so, willing to work he created before all things the soul of his messenger (d), for whom

خادمي الذي به سررت 29 اسمعوا له 30 فارتاع التلاميذ وسقطوا على وجوههم إلى الأرض كأنهم أموات 31 فنزل يسوع وأنهض تلاميذه قائلا :" لا تخافوا لأن الله يحبكم (ا) وقد فعل هذا لكي تؤمنوا بكلامي.

1 ونزل يسوع إلى التلاميذ الثمانية الذين كانوا ينتظرونه أسفل 2 وقص ( [3] ) الأربعة على الثمانية كل ما رأوا 3 وهكذا زال في ذلك اليوم من قلبهم كل شك في يسوع إلا يهوذا الإسخريوطي الذي لم يؤمن بشيء 4 وجلس يسوع على سفح الجبل وأكلوا من الأثمار البرية لأنهم لم يكن عندهم خبز 5 حينئذ قال أندراوس :" لقد حدثتنا بأشياء كثيرة عن مسيا فتكرم بالتصريح لنا بكل شئ 6 فأجاب يسوع :" كل من يعمل لغاية يجد فيها غناء 7 لذلك أقول لكم أن الله لما كان بالحقيقة كاملا (ج) لم يكن له حاجة إلى غناء 8 لأنه الغناء عنده نفسه ( [4]) 9 وهكذا لما أراد أن يعمل خلق قبل كل شئ نفس رسوله (د) الذي لأجله
