in whose presence my soul standeth

in whose presence my soul standeth, I am a mortal man as other men are, 13 for although God has placed me as prophet over the house of Israel for the health of the feeble and the correction of sinners, I am the servant of God (a) 14 and of this ye are witnesses, how I speak against those wicked men who after my departure from the world shall annul the truth of my gospel by the operation of Satan 15 But I shall return towards the end, 16 and with me shall come Enoch and Elijah ( [1] ) 17 and we will testify against the wicked, whose end shall be accursed.( [2] ) 18 And having thus spoken, Jesus shed tears, 19 whereat his disciples wept aloud, and lifted their voices, saying: ‘Pardon, O lord God, and have mercy on thy innocent servant ( [3] ). 20 Jesus answered: ‘Amen, Amen.’

1 ‘Before that day shall come’ said Jesus, great destruction ( [4] )shall come upon the world, 2 for there shall be war so cruel and pitiless 3 that the father shall slay the son, 4 and the son shall slay the father

الذي نفسي واقفة في حضرته أني رجل فان كسائر الناس 13 على وأني وإن أقامني الله نبيا على بيت إسرائيل لأجل صحة الضعفاء وإصلاح الخطاة خادم (ا) الله 14 وأنتم شهداء على هذا كيف أني أنكر على هؤلاء الأشرار الذين بعد انصرافي من العالم سيبطلون حق إنجيلي بعمل الشيطان 15 ولكني سأعود قبيل النهاية 16 وسيأتي معي أخنوخ وإيليا ( [5] ) 17 ونشهد على الأشرار الذين ستكون آخرتهم ملعونة ( [6] ) "18 وبعد أن تكلم يسوع هكذا أذرف الدمع 19 فبكى تلاميذه بصوت عال ورفعوا أصواتهم قائلين :" اصفح أيها الرب الإله وارحم خادمك البريء ( [7] )" 20 فأجاب يسوع :" آمين آمين ".

1 قال يسوع :" قبل أن يأتي ذلك اليوم سيحل بالعالم خراب ( [8] ) عظيم 2 وستنشب حرب فتاكة طاحنة 3 فيقتل الأب ابنه 4 ويقتل الابن أباه

As to Enoch (Edrees PBOH) , it may be understood from Maryam 19 :57 that he was raised as Jesus PBOH ,and the Old Testament provides that he was raised ( Genesis 5 :24 ) .As to Elijah (Elias PBOH) Quran has not spoken much about him ,the Old Testament 2 Kings 2 :11 says he was raised . There is a prophecy that he will come before Jesus and the Last day in Malachi 4:5 . which seems to refer to the second sending of Jesus. The Quran and the prophet sayings confirms that Jesus son of Mary( Maryam) will be back before the Last day. See Al-Ma’idah 5 : 115 _ 120.

[5] يرجع لهامش الفصل 13 :11 ، أما بالنسبة لأخنوخ (إدريس عليه السلام ) فقد يفهم من مريم :57 أنه رفع كما رفع المسيح عليه السلام ،ويذكر العهد القديم أنه رفع ( تكوين 5 :24 ). أما إيليا ( إلياس عليه السلام ) فلم يتحدث القرآن الكريم عنه كثيرا ويذكر العهد القديم 2 ملوك 2 :11 أنه قد رفع، وتوجد نبوءة تتحدث عن عودته قبل قيام الساعة في ملاخي 4: 5 . وعودة المسيح عليه السلام مؤكدة بالقرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية. وانظر المائدة : 115 ـ 120 .
