each other as cruel enemies ( [1] ). 19 The fifth day every plant and herb shall weep blood ( [2] ). 20 The sixth day the sea shall rise without leaving its place to the height of one hundred and fifty cubits, 21 and shall stand all day like a wall. 22 The seventh day it shall on the contrary sink so low as scarcely to be seen. 23 The eighth day the birds and the animals of the earth and of the water shall gather themselves close together, and shall give forth roars and cries. 24 The ninth day there shall be a hailstorm so horrible ( [3] )that it shall kill in such wise that scarcely the tenth part of the living shall escape. 25 The tenth day shall come such horrible lightning and thunder that the third part of the mountains shall be split and scorched ( [4] ). 26 The eleventh day every river shall run backwards, and shall run blood and not water ( [5] ). 27 The twelfth day every created thing shall groan and cry. 28 The thirteenth day the heaven shall be rolled up like a book ( [6] ), 29 and it shall rain fire, so that every living thing shall die ( [7] ). 30 the fourteenth day there shall be an earthquake ( [8] )so horrible that the tops of the mountains shall fly ( [9] ) through the air like birds, 31 and all the earth shall become a plain ( [10] ). 32 The fifteenth day the holy angels shall die,
كأعداء ألداء ( [11] ) 19 وفي اليوم الخامس يبكي كل نبات وعشب دما ( [12] ) 20 وفي اليوم السادس يطغى البحر دون أن يتجاوز محله إلى علو مائة وخمسين ذراعا 21 ويقف النهار كله كجدار 22 وفي اليوم السابع ينعكس الأمر فيغور حتى لا يكاد يرى 23 وفي اليوم الثامن تتألب الطيور وحيوانات البر والماء ولها جوار وصراخ 24 وفي اليوم التاسع ينزل صيب من البرد مخوف ( [13] ) بحيث أنه يفتك فتكا لا يكاد ينجو منه عشر الأحياء 25 وفي اليوم العاشر يأتي برق ورعد مخوفان فينشق ويحترق ثلث الجبال ( [14] ) 26 وفي اليوم الحادي عشر يجري كل نهر إلى الوراء ويجري دما لا ماء ( [15] ) 27 وفي اليوم الثاني عشر يئن ويصرخ كل مخلوق 28 وفي اليوم الثالث عشر تطوى السماء كطي الدرج ( [16] ) 29 وتمطر نارا حتى يموت كل حي ( [17] ) 30 وفي اليوم الرابع عشر يحدث زلزال مخوف ( [18] ) حتى أن قنن الجبال تتطاير ( [19] ) منه في الهواء كالطيور 31 وتصير الأرض كلها سهلا ( [20] ) 32 وفي اليوم الخامس عشر تموت الملائكة الأطهار
