and God alone shall remain alive

34 And having said this Jesus smote his face with both his hands ([2] ) , 35 and then smote the ground with his head. And having raised his head, he said: ‘cursed be every one who shall insert into my sayings that I am the son of God.’ 36 At these words the disciples fell down as dead, 37 whereupon Jesus lifted them up, saying ‘let us fear God now if we would not be affrighted in that day.’

1 ‘When these signs be passed, there shall be darkness over the world forty years, God alone being alive (c), to whom be honour and glory for ever. 2 When the forty years be passed, God shall give life to his messenger ( [3] ), who shall rise again like the sun, but resplendent as a thousand suns. 3 He shall sit and shall not speak, for he shall be as it were beside himself ( [4] ). 4 God shall raise again the four angels favoured of God ( [5] ), 5 who shall seek the messenger of God (d) 6, and having found him, shall station themselves on the four sides of the place to keep watch upon him. 6 Next shall God give life to all the angels, who shall come like bees circling round the messenger of God. 7 Next shall god give life to all his prophets,

33 ولا يبقى حيا (ا) إلا الله وحده الذي له الإكرام والمجد ( [6] ) 34 ولما قال يسوع هذا صفع وجهه بكلتا يديه ( [7] ) 35 ثم ضرب الأرض برأسه و لما رفع رأسه قال ليكن ملعونا كل من يدرج في أقوالي أني ابن الله 36 فسقط التلاميذ عند هذه الكلمات كأموات 37 فأنهضهم يسوع قائلا : لنخف الله الآن إذا أردنا أن لا نراع في ذلك اليوم.

1 فمتى مرت هذه العلامات تغشى العالم ظلمة أربعين سنة ليس فيها من حي (ج) إلا الله وحده الذي له الإكرام والمجد إلى الأبد 2 ومتى مرت الأربعون سنة يحيي الله رسوله ( [8] ) الذي سيطلع أيضا كالشمس بيد أنه متألق كألف شمس 3 فيجلس ولا يتكلم لأنه سيكون كالمخبول ( [9] ) 4 وسيقيم الله الملائكة المقربين ( [10] ) لله الذين ينشدون رسول الله (د) 5 فمتى وجدوه قاموا على الجوانب الأربعة للمحل حراسا له 6 ثم يحيي الله بعد ذلك سائر الملائكة الذين يأتون كالنحل ويحيطون برسول الله 7 ثم يحيي الله بعد ذلك سائر أنبيائه الذين سيأتون جميعهم

[9] يفهم من الحج :2 أن رسول الله والموحه له الخطاب في الآية هو الإنسان الوحيد الذي لن يكون كالسكارى.
