have mercy upon this impotent man.’
9 And having said this Jesus said: ‘In God’s name(a), brother, be thou whole; rise and take up the bed.’
10 Then the impotent man arose, praising God, 11 and carried his bed upon his shoulders, and went to his house praising God.
12 Those who saw him cried: ‘it is the sabbath day; it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.’( [1] )
13 He answered: ‘He that made me whole said unto me, “Pick up thy bed, and go thy way to thy house.”
14 Then asked they him: ‘who is he?’
15 He answered: ‘I know not his name.’16 Whereupon, among themselves they said: ‘It must have been Jesus the Nazarene.’17 Others said: ‘Nay, for he is a holy one of God, whereas he who has done this thing is a wicked man, for he causeth the sabbath to be broken.’18 And Jesus went into the temple and a great multitude drew nigh unto him to hear his words; 19 whereat the priests were consumed with envy.

ارحم هذا المقعد 9 ولما قال يسوع هذا قال : " بسم الله (ا) ابرأ أيها الأخ قم واحمل فراشك " 10 فحينئذ قام المقعد حامدا لله 11 وحمل فراشه على كتفيه وذهب إلى بيته حامدا لله 12 فصاح الذين رأوه :" إنه يوم السبت فلا يحل لك أن تحمل فراشك ( [2] ) 13 فأجاب :" إن الذي أبرأني قال لي :" ارفع فراشك واذهب في طريقك إلى بيتك " 14 فحينئذ سألوه :" من هو؟ 15 أجاب:" إني لا أعرف اسمه " 16 فقالوا عندئذ فيما بينهم :" لا بد أن يكون يسوع الناصري " 17 وقال آخرون :" كلا لأنه قدوس الله أما الذي فعل هذا فهو أثيم لأنه كسر السبت "18 وذهب يسوع إلى الهيكل فدنا منه جم غفير ليسمعوا كلامه 19 فاضطرم الكهنة لذلك حسدا .
الفصل السادس والستون (ب)
1 وجاء إليه واحد قائلا :" أيها المعلم الصالح إنك تعلم حسنا وحقا 2 لذلك قل لي ما هو الجزاء الذي

[1] An-Nahl:124 .It is understood from the verse that forbidding wok in Saturday is especialy made to the Jews ,because they say that God who does not snap, sleep, get tird,or fatigue, ( Qaf 50:38,Al-Baqarah 2:255,Psalms 121:3,4,Isaiah 40:28,Job11:1- 11,Job 37:15) had rested in Saturday .For sure Jesus the Christ (PBUH) had permitted work in Saturday, see Al-Imran 3: 50.
[2] النحل :124 والمفهوم من الآية أن تحريم العمل في السبت إنما جعل على اليهود لقولهم أن الله الذي لا ينعس ولا ينام ولا يغفل ولا يكل ولا يعيا (ق :38 ، البقرة : 255 ، مزمور 121 :3، 4 ،إشعياء 40 :28 ، أيوب 11 :1 ـ11 ، أيوب 37: 15 ) استراح في السبت ، وعليه فمن المؤكد أن المسيح عليه السلام أحل العمل في السبت .أنظر آل عمران :50
