by means of his servants; 8 the third is when he tempteth with false doctrine; 9 the fourth is when he tempteth with false visions. 10 Now how cautions ought men to be, and all the more according as he hath in his favour the flesh of man, which loveth sin as he who hath fever loveth water. 11 Verily I say unto you, that if a man fear God he shall have victory over all,( [1] ) as saith David his prophet: 12( [2] ) “ God(a) shall give his angels charge over thee, who shall keep thy ways(b), so that the devil shall not cause thee to stumble. 13 A thousand shall fall on thy left hand, and ten thousand on thy right hand, so that they shall not come nigh thee (c) ( [3] ).”

14 Furthermore, our God with great love (d)(e) promised to us by the same David to keep us, saying: ( [4] )‘I give unto thee understanding, which shall teach thee; and in thy ways wherein thou shalt walk I will cause mine eye to rest upon thee(f).”

15 ‘But what shall I say? 16 He hath said by Isaiah: ( [5] )“Can a mother forget the child of her womb? But I say unto thee, that when she forget, I will not forget thee (g)( [6] ).”

c Said God to the believers: ‘perhaps on their left a thousand misfortunes may befall and on their right ten thousand, yet they shall not reach you.

f God said to the faithful in the psalms: we have given you wisdom to guide you into the true way, and wherever you will go I am looking upon you.

g Said God to whom be praise, to the believers: ‘can it be that the pregnant woman forget while the child is in her womb? But if she forgets at all I shall not forget you.

بواسطة خدمه 8 الثالثة عندما يجرب بالتعليم الكاذب 9 الرابعة عندما يجرب بالتخيل الكاذب 10 إذ يجب على البشر أن يحاذروا كثيرا ولا سيما أن له عونا من جسد الإنسان الذي يحب الخطيئة كما يحب المحموم الماء 11 الحق أقول لكم أنه إذا خاف الإنسان الله انتصر على كل شيء كما يقول داود نبيه : 12 " سيسلمك الله (ا) إلى عناية ملائكته الذين يحفظون طرقك (ب) لكيلا يعثرك الشيطان 13 يسقط ألف عن شمالك وعشرة آلاف عن يمينك لكيلا يقربوك (ج)" 14 ووعد أيضا إلهنا بمحبة (د) عظيمة على لسان داود المذكور أن يحفظنا (هـ)قائلا " إني أمنحك فهما يثقفك وكيفما سلكت في طرقك أجعل عيني تقع عليك (و)" 15 ولكن ماذا أقول؟ لقد قال على لسان أشعيا : " أتنسى الأم طفل رحمها ؟ ولكن أقول لك إن هي نسيت أنا لا أنساك (ز)"17 إذا قولوا لي من يخاف الشيطان

ب ارسل الله تعلى ملائكة على المؤمنين ليحفض (ليحفظ) طرقهم منه

ج قال الله للمؤمنين عسى ان يقع على شمالكم الف بلاه (بلاء) وعلى يمينهم عشرة آلاف بلاء لكن لا يصيبهم منه

و قال الله في الزبور المؤمنين أعطيناكم العقل ليرشدكم الا (إلى) طرق الحق وأين تذهبتم (تذهبون ) انا ناظر عليكم منه

ز قال سبحانه وتعلى للمؤمنين هل يمكن انتنسى (أن تنسى) الحامل والحمل في بطانة (بطنها) وان اسل (حصل) تنسى وانا لا انسيتكم (أنساكم ) منه.
