10 Whereupon in Mizpeh assembled three armies, each one of two hundred thousand men that bare sword. 11 Herod spake to them, but they were not quieted. 12 Then spake the governor and the high-priest, saying: ‘Brethren, this war is aroused by the work of Satan, for Jesus is alive, and to him ought we to resort, and ask him that he give testimony of himself, and then believe in him according to his word.’
13 So at this they were quieted, every one, and having laid down their arms they all embraced one another, saying one to the other: ‘forgive me, brother!’
14 On that day, accordingly every one laid this in his heart, to believe Jesus, according as he shall say. 15 And by the governor and the high-priest were offered great rewards to him who should come to announce where Jesus was to be found.

التتغراماتن (ا) على جبهته 9 وركب كذلك الحاكم بيلاطس وهيرودس 10 فاجتمع في مذبه على أثر ذلك ثلاثة جيوش كل منها مائتي ألف رجل متقلدي السيوف 11 فكلمهم هيرودس أما هم فلم يسكنوا 12 ثم تكلم الحاكم ورئيس الكهنة قائلين : أيها الاخوة إن هذه الفتنة إنما قد أثارها عمل الشيطان لأن يسوع حي وإليه يجب أن نذهب ونسأله أن يقدم شهادة عن نفسه وأن نؤمن به بحسب كلمته 13 فسكنت لهذا ثائرتهم كلهم ونزعوا سلاحهم وتعانقوا قائلا بعضهم لبعض " اغفر أيها الأخ " 14 فعقد في ذلك اليوم كل واحدٍ النية أن يؤمن بيسوع بحسب ما سيقول 15 وقدم الحاكم ورئيس الكهنة جوائز كبرى لمن يأتي ويخبرهم أين يسوع .
