holy angel, were gone to Mount Sinai. 2 And there Jesus with his disciples kept the forty days ([1]. 3 When this was past, Jesus drew nigh to the river Jordan to go to Jerusalem. 4 And he was seen by one of them who believed Jesus to be God. 5 Whereupon, with greatest gladness crying ever ‘Our God cometh!’ 6 having reached the city he moved the whole city saying: ‘Our God cometh, O Jerusalem; prepare thee to receive him!’ 7 And he testified that he had seen Jesus near to Jordan.
8 Then went out from the city every one, small and great to see Jesus 9 insomuch that the city was left empty, for the women bare their children in their arms, and insomuch that they forgat to take food to eat.
10 When they perceived this, the governor and the high-priest rode forth and sent a messenger to Herod, 11 who in like manner rode forth to find Jesus, in order that the sedition of the people might be quieted.
بكلمة الملاك الطاهر 2 وحُفظ هناك يسوع الأربعين يوما ( [2] ) مع تلاميذه 3 فلما انقضت اقترب يسوع من نهر الأردن ليذهب إلى أورشليم 4 فرآه أحد الذين يؤمنون بأن يسوع هو الله 5 فصرخ من ثَم بأعظم سرور : " إن إلهنا آت ) 6 ولما بلغ المدينة أثارها كلها قائلا : " إن إلهنا آت يا أورشليم تهيئي لقبوله " 7 وشهد أنه رأى يسوع على مقربة من الأردن 8 فخرج من المدينة كل أحد الصغير والكبير ليروا يسوع 9 حتى أصبحت المدينة خالية لأن النساء حملن أطفالهن على أذرعهن ونسين أن يأخذن معهن زادً للأكل 10 فلما علم بهذا الحاكم ورئيس الكهنة خرجا راكبين وأرسلا رسولا إلى هيرودس 11 فخرج هو أيضا راكبا ليرى يسوع تسكينا لفتنة الشعب
